Mo’ has been performing comedy for more than 20 years.
It was his idea to have a vehicle that he could perform his brand of comedy and simultaneously provide new comedic artists with a chance to perform outside of the open mike arena where the crowds are generally more hostile.
He started out by attending classes at the players workshop of the Second City in Chicago. He graduated in 1987 and completed his training at the training center of the Second City.
Mo’ is a multi-talented comedian and producer. He also has been able to employ some of the top comedians in chicago for his bi-monthly shows.

In 1996 ‘Mo’ hired his brother Tracy Jones to be Vice-President of the company. Tracy Jones was a comedian who had been performing for nearly ten years. Tracy had performed for each of JB’s Productions. His background also included performances for Bernie Mac and opening performances for D.L. Hughley, Joe Torry and Simply Marvelous.
In 2003, Mo' hired Samuel Harveily, Jr. to be Vice President of the company. Sam has been working with the company in searching out and signing new talent (e.g. singers, poets, and comedians). He has also helped judge the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest for the last 3 years. Serving as stage and production manager is also among his duties.
Tracy Jones was the company's entertainment consultant. He was also a founding member of the Black Market Acting Troupe, formely known as Acting Up. Basically, we hope to continue to bring forth the best comedy to our audiences. In light of our mistakes, triumphs and disappointments we are still here and will be here when the smoke clears, laughing, cracking jokes and entertaining in the best way that we know how ... ‘cause it’s just ... A COMEDY THANG!
